By transforming a traditional black tea into a roasted delight, the skillful tea master offers an exquisite Hōjicha as a harmonious balance of sweetness, toastiness, and rich undertones. Roasting not only creates the delicious toffee, nutty and stone fruit flavours, but also changes the composition of the tea by reducing the caffeine content and softening astringency. Being very smooth, our hōjicha is perfect both for mizudashi or kōridashi.
